The impact notch image measuring instrument is developed by our company based on the actual needs of our customers and in accordance with GB/T229-2010、 ISO 148-1 2009、ASTM E23、GB/T 8363-2007.The newly developed specialized equipment for processing and inspecting V-shaped and U-shaped notches, called the "fully automatic impact notch measuring instrument.For the Charpy V-notch impact test, due to the strict requirements for the V-notch of the specimen (with a notch depth of 2mm, a 45 ° angle, and a notch requirement of R0.25± 0.025mm), the qualification of the V-notch machining of the specimen becomes a key issue throughout the entire test process. If the machining quality of the notch is not qualified,
the test results are unreliable, especially for small changes in the R0.25mm notch (with a tolerance of only ± 0.025mm),which can cause a sharp jump in the test results, especially at the critical value of the test, resulting in two completely opposite results: product scrap or qualification. To ensure that the processed Charpy notch is qualified, the quality inspection of the notch processing is an important quality control measure. Currently, using optical projection magnification for inspection is a feasible and quality assured method. The impact notch image measuring instrument uses unique optical imaging technology to capture the V-shaped and shaped notch images of the tested impact specimen through a 10-megapixel camera and lens, which are then displayed on a computer monitor. The images are automatically captured and judged using specialized measurement software to accurately measure the dimensions of the pendulum impact V and U-shaped notches. It can automatically measure the angle, depth, and bottom radius of the gap.
