Laryee has recently launched a new ODM equipment development project with a European customer, focusing on the joint development of a professional circular blade sharpening machine for food-processing applications.

The cooperation has formally entered the solution design stage, with Laryee participating as the equipment development and manufacturing partner. The project builds on Laryee’s experience in equipment design, grinding and polishing applications, and customized machinery development.

From Application Requirements to a Dedicated Solution

Unlike standard off-the-shelf equipment, this project starts with a specific application requirement from the customer. Based on the intended use of professional circular blades, Laryee is working with the customer to translate practical operating requirements into an equipment solution, including the overall machine concept, functional configuration and subsequent engineering development.

This application-driven approach allows the equipment design to be developed around the customer’s actual use scenario rather than adapting the application to an existing standard machine.

ODM Beyond Standard Testing Instruments

While Laryee is widely focused on testing instruments and laboratory solutions, customized equipment development is also an important part of its engineering capabilities. The new project extends this capability into a specialized food-processing machinery application. By combining customer application knowledge with Laryee’s equipment development and manufacturing experience, the cooperation provides a practical framework for developing dedicated equipment for specific market requirements.

From Concept to Engineering Development

The project is currently in the solution design stage. As development progresses, the two parties will continue refining the equipment concept toward subsequent engineering and manufacturing stages. For Laryee, the project represents another example of how its engineering capabilities can support international customers beyond standard product supply — from understanding an application requirement to developing a dedicated equipment solution.
