ISO 7886 Syringe Plunger Operating Force Testing Solution
Reliable syringe performance testing depends not only on the testing machine, but also on how the specimen is positioned and supported. Based on the relevant requirements of ISO 7886-1 and GB 15810, Laryee developed an optimized fixture for syringe plunger operating force testing, improving specimen positioning, adjustment convenience and the repeatability of the test setup.
For disposable sterile hypodermic syringes, mechanical performance testing is an important part of product evaluation. During plunger operating force testing, the fixture plays a direct role in syringe positioning, test stability, force-data acquisition and day-to-day operation.
To address practical limitations found in conventional fixture arrangements, Laryee designed and developed a dedicated syringe plunger operating force testing fixture with reference to ISO 7886-1, Disposable Sterile Hypodermic Syringes — Part 1: Syringes for Manual Use, and GB 15810.

The fixture was optimized around three practical needs: more reliable syringe positioning, more effective support of the syringe flange, and easier adjustment of the water-tank support height. These structural improvements help simplify specimen installation and maintain more consistent test conditions during operation.
During the test, liquid is expelled from the syringe as the plunger assembly moves, while the testing system continuously collects and records the corresponding force values. A stable fixture configuration helps support repeatable force measurement throughout the test procedure.

The fixture has been manufactured and applied in a project for an end customer in Uzbekistan. It was supplied together with a single-column electronic universal testing machine, forming a practical configuration for syringe sliding-performance and plunger operating-force testing.
This project reflects Laryee’s ability to translate testing-standard requirements into application-oriented fixtures and complete mechanical testing configurations for medical-device manufacturers and testing laboratories.
